City Livery Concert - Sunday 26th June 2016 – Barbican – London Symphony Orchestra – Sir Simon Rattle

All members and their families/associates are invited to this key occasion in the City of London calendar. The concert starts at 7.00pm. The event, in honour of Sir Peter Maxwell Davis, who died recently, is the second in a series of collaborative projects bringing together the London Symphony Orchestra, students from the Guildhall School and children from the local area. The concert will feature a new children’s opera by Sir Peter Maxwell Davis based on an Orcadian folktale, alongside Berlioz' programmatic masterpiece Symphonie Fantastique. This will be a very special evening that will highlight the arts in the City and put a spotlight on the area as a cultural hub.

The City tickets are priced at £40 each and include a souvenir programme and an interval reception/drink. £10 of the ticket price will go towards the Lord Mayor’s Appeal. There is a priority booking line with the Barbican Box Office for City members/groups to purchase tickets at £40 each. They should call 020 7382 7211 (Mon-Fri, 10am-5pm) and quote “26th June City Livery Allocation” to access the special seats.
